Diamondbacks lose to Phillies 7-1

The Philadelphia Phillies faced off against the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday at Citizens Bank Park with the Phillies securing the victory 7 to 1. It was a great baseball game that fans with Phillies tickets will remember for quite some time. There’s not much better than a baseball game so get your MLB tickets before its too late.

Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay (2.21 ERA) got the win, while Edwin Jackson (5.16 ERA) took the loss for the Diamondbacks. Roy Halladay went 9 solid innings for the Phillies, allowed 6 hits, no home runs and one earned run with no walks and 9 strikeouts. The Diamondbacks’s starter Edwin Jackson went 5 innings, allowed 8 hits, no home runs and 5 earned runs with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Sam Demel (4.91), and Juan Gutierrez (6.75) also pitched for the Diamondbacks. With the win, Halladay’s record goes to 12-8, while Jackson drops to 6-10.

In addition to the 7 runs, the Phillies put up 12 hits and committed no errors. Carlos Ruiz and Jayson Werth tied for most hits for the Phillies with 3 hits, followed by Dominic Brown with 2 hits. Roy Halladay had a tough day at the plate, leaving 4 runners on base. The Diamondbacks didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Diamondbacks got one run, 6 hits and no errors.

Umpiring duties were performed by Andy Fletcher, Mike Everitt, Adrian Johnson and Tim McClelland. There were 45,048 Phillies ticket holders in attendance at Citizens Bank Park.
